What's New in the 2021 Nissan Rogue?

A complete redesign means that everything is new for this year. However, a few of the most exciting updates include the addition of standard driver assistance features, an updated infotainment suite, available semi-autonomous features, and a more luxurious interior than the Rogue has previously known. The redesign extends to the powertrain, too, which was refreshed for this new generation.

Looking inside the cabin, it's clear that Nissan had one goal when they redesigned the interior: upscale comfort. The cabin of the Rogue offers plenty of soft-touch surfaces, available ambient lighting, thoughtful storage cubbies, and a noise blocking technology to keep the cabin peaceful. The seats of the redesigned Rogue are larger, so adults and children alike will feel more comfortable.

Nissan also completely updated the technology offerings in this redesign.  Available features in the 2021 Rogue include a 9-inch center touchscreen, a fully digital dashboard, and a head-up display that shows your speed, incoming notifications, turn-by-turn directions, and more.

The Rogue's 2.5-liter engine has been updated to offer 181 horsepower. This updated engine pairs seamlessly with a continuously variable transmission and either front or all-wheel drive. The Rogue is the perfect compact SUV for road trips and daily errands as it offers plenty of power and impressive fuel economy.

A Brief History of the Nissan Rogue

Nissan debuted the Rogue to the North American markets in 2008, and it was an instant hit thanks to its remarkable fuel efficiency. The Rogue arrived in the middle of a steep increase of gas prices, and American drivers jumped at the opportunity to drive an SUV that offered exceptional power and fuel efficiency.

The Rogue entered its second generation with a complete redesign for the 2011 model year which offered daring new looks and a host of hot new technology. The Rogue also gained an even more powerful powertrain, though the fuel economy remained intact to continue to meet drivers' needs.

A third generation of the Rogue came another three years later in 2014 when crossover vehicles were quickly picking up popularity. Over the years, the Rogue has adapted to appeal to a wide range of drivers from families to urban adventurers to off-roaders. With every passing year and new update, the Rogue continues to lead Nissan's lineup of crossover SUVs.
